EPVPN ist umgestellt

English version below

Liebe EPVPN-Community,

Euer EVENTPHONE-Team

The EPVPN switchover is complete

Dear EPVPN community,

The new EPVPN has been in production since 17 October 2026. The public beta has ended. We migrated existing accounts to the new platform and shut down the previous system. The platform you knew as “the new EPVPN” during the public beta is now simply EPVPN.

For technical details about EPVPN, including SIP configuration, dial-in options and the dial plan, see the EVENTPHONE wiki.

Since the public beta started in April 2025, you’ve been able to try out the new platform. Many features you know from our events are now available between events too, including call groups, announcements, custom ringback tones and call forwarding. Your SIP extension lets others reach you under your pseudonym even when there’s no event on.

Account and extension cleanup over the next few months

We’ll delete orphaned accounts and accounts with email addresses that can’t receive mail. We’ll also free up extensions that haven’t been used in years. We’ll share more details about the process separately.

In the meantime, please review your account, check that you can receive mail at the email address on file, and release any extensions you no longer need.

Extensions and call forwarding

EPVPN is a separate, experimental phone network. Its dial plan follows different rules from those of our temporary event networks. Please register only extensions you actively use.

Call forwarding between EPVPN and temporary events is currently unavailable in both directions.

Thanks to everyone who made calls, tried out features and sent us feedback during the beta. If you have questions about the switchover or run into an issue, please get in touch. Contact GURU3 support

Talk to you on the next call!
